Insurance
Finley Counseling is out-of-network for insurance plans.
If you wish to use your out-of-network benefits, we can provide you with a superbill/invoice statement for you to turn into your insurance for reimbursement of out-of-network benefits according to your plan.
Some questions to ask your insurance company about coverage:
- Do I have out of network coverage?
- Do I need prior authorization?
- How much of the fee is reimbursed?
- Do I have a deductible? How much more of my deductible needs to be met prior to receiving reimbursement?
- What address should I send my therapy receipts to? Do I need any forms to accompany the receipt?
- If you are interested in family or couples therapy make sure your insurance covers CPT code 90847. Many insurances do not cover couples or family therapy.

Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
